The UCLA Department of Theater Pre-College Summer Institutes is dedicated to nurturing and developing youth through rigorous summer programming that positively impacts students and promotes artistic development. Currently, we offer two three week institutes in acting and musical theater where students ages 14-18, are able to have a blend of an academic and semi-professional experience. The students take classes, obtain college credit, live in university housing and interact with our faculty and current undergraduates. The culmination of the institute includes a live performance of the play or musical that is open to the public and reflects their artistic growth. We are committed to sharing this positive experience and encourage students of all training levels to apply.
