With the vision of transforming science classrooms, the UCLA Science Project at Center X partners with teachers from districts and schools to develop professional learning opportunities for K-12 teachers. Using adult learning theories, we strive to build a culture of collaboration and respect among teachers while highlighting advances in research that impact the classroom. Collective learning experiences are designed to build capacity among teachers and to support the work of developing student-centered pedagogues that support sense-making of the natural world.
