Themes in World History K-12 Workshops

UCLA Center for Southeast Asian Studies, UCLA Center for Near Eastern Studies, UCLA Asia Pacific Center, UCLA Latin American Institute, UCLA History-Geography Project

This virtual K-12 teacher professional development workshop series will focus on themes in world history curriculum under the California History Social Science (HSS) Framework. The workshop series aims to provide area studies content and pedagogy training to K-12 teachers in California to strengthen classroom instruction of these themes. The workshops will give educators an opportunity to hear lectures from scholars to gain more historical knowledge, work with model lessons developed by teacher leaders, and receive training for designing lessons to align with the HSS Framework.
